Appalachian Celtic Consort: Home
Welcome to the Appalachian Celtic Consort web page! We hope you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoy playing it! We play traditional Irish and Scottish music mostly, but also a little old-time and some original compositions. If you are a die-hard traditionalist you might notice that our music has a little different sound than some Celtic groups -- hence the word Appalachian in our name. Our hills and mountains were settled by Scotch-Irish immigrants, and the music they brought with them has picked up a bit of local flavor.
If you are looking for samples of our music, there are plenty of them -- click the Music link to the left. Most are samples, but every month we will rotate a different tune to the full download position. So if you come back enough times, you can eventually get an entire CD for free!
If you would like to buy one of our CDs, (which is probably a LOT easier than waiting for downloads), click the "Buy" link.
If you just want to say hello, please sign our guestbook by clicking the Guestbook link. We especially love it when our fans from outside of the USA say hello. If you fall into that category, tell use a little about your country and the Celtic music scene there.
If you want to be notified of upcoming events, you can join our mailing list and we'll email all the news about the band. If you are in the Charleston area on a Wednesday night and are looking for a session, feel free to email us for directions.
